Homeschool Day 1

We eased into our 1st day of homeschooling, the weather was gloomy so we watched hail shoot down from the clouds..we talked about hail and how it is formed we even eat some of it and even put some in our glass of milk.

We worked on a 7 day mini book for bible. Iks liked creating his own little book, coloring and drawing something on each page for each of the days that God worked on creation.
We did some printing, the letter F.

We did some science work sheets together, living things & matching where food comes from.

I brought out the magnets and played a game around the house guessing which objects would the magnets hold too. Iks really enjoyed playing with them so I brought out the metal spheres that came with the magnets set and he played with them for 30+ minutes just exploring..which ones they attracted too, how many he could pick up, he even made up his own little game.

I am amazed with how spongy their brains really are (my scientific term..hehee) He learns while doing pretty much everything..and I have figured a goal for myself .....try to remember that this journey is not to be rushed, it is to be enjoyed, to give him time..time to explore, time to figure things out...time to enjoy what he is doing.
